TUDOR
JOURS HRS MINS SEC

The 84th Bol d’Or Mirabaud started this morning at exactly 10 am in light wind conditions. Realteam’s TF35 and Team W’s D35 are leading the race heading out of the “Petit Lac”, closely followed by the firsts M2 catamarans.

The race towards Le Bouveret is exciting, stressful for the crews and unpredictable. The « Séchard » (thermal wind) who was weak at the start, progressively established itself, allowing the first boats to exit the “Petit Lac” before lunch time.

Christian Wahl, Team W’s owner and holder of the title, was leading right after the start. He however got caught up off Hermance by the Realteam, the only TF35 equipped by conventional daggerboards (while others have foils).

The monohull fleet is led by Patrick Thorens’s Psaros 40 Cellmen, closely followed by the Libera Raffica, Syz Psaros 47, Thomas Jundt’s QFX, Eric Monnin’s Monofoil and the Psaros 33 fleet.

In short: no big surprises at this stage but there still is a long way to go.
